Our verdict
Our verdict8.3/10House of Om is a yoga school with campuses in Bali, India and Thailand, plus online 200- and 300-hour trainings.
Its Bali 200-hour residential course is priced by room type, from $2,500 for a dorm bed to $3,900 for a private room at regular rates, with early-bird discounts published on the cost page. - Multiple campuses (Bali, India, Thailand) plus online trainings

What you’ll learn
This listing concerns the Bali residential 200-hour training rather than House of Om’s separate online catalog. The cost page confirms an in-person curriculum and end-of-program assessments, with equipment and learning materials included. It also describes a welcome bag and community events; those inclusions are amenities rather than proof of curriculum depth.
The cost page explains the residential package more thoroughly than the individual syllabus modules. Ask for the teaching outline and assessments for your chosen campus, so you know what this particular booking includes instead of inferring it from the school’s wider catalog.
Format, schedule and time commitment
House of Om’s Bali program is a 200-hour residential training that includes 20 nights of accommodation. It calls for a continuous stay, with travel days and time away from work or home responsibilities to arrange as well. The accommodation allowance should therefore be part of your calendar planning, not just your price comparison.
Immersive, in-person teaching gives you daily contact with trainers. That ongoing face-to-face experience is one of the clearest differences from studying through an online lesson library.

Accreditation and what the credential is worth
According to its official site, House of Om is a Yoga Alliance-certified school. Students receive a 200-hour teacher certificate after completing the end-of-program assessments.
The school presents itself as Yoga Alliance certified. Ask how the specific Bali course is registered and how its completion certificate supports your intended registration; a school-wide statement should not substitute for checking the booked training.
Price, payment plans and refunds
The Bali residential prices published on October 5, 2026 range from $2,500 for a dorm to $3,900 for a private room at regular rates. Early-bird pricing starts at $2,125, making room category an important part of the tuition decision.
Deposit, date-change, and cancellation rules appear in the booking conditions and need checking before payment. The cost page lists airport transfers, dinner, insurance, and entry costs separately from the training fee. Included breakfast and lunch on training days should not be interpreted as every meal throughout your stay.
When checked October 5, 2026, the official cost table showed early-bird room offers, including a $2,125 dorm rate compared with the regular $2,500. Confirm that your dates and room qualify before using the reduced amount to budget the trip.

Who it’s best for — and who should skip it
The Bali course is for travelers who want shared residential life and daily teaching within a 200-hour immersion, with accommodation and some meals bundled into the fee. It will be difficult to reconcile with a normal work schedule at home. House of Om’s online programs are separate purchases to investigate if you cannot travel.
Pros and cons in detail
A defined residential package. Training, 20 nights of lodging, two meals on training days, and materials are included, making the core budget easier to identify.
Several locations and formats. Campuses in Bali, India, and Thailand sit alongside online training. Each location still needs its own check of dates and terms.
Room prices are visible. The published table includes early-bird rates, showing how accommodation changes the cost without necessarily changing the certificate.
A stated Yoga Alliance connection. The school describes itself as certified; verify the registration of your specific training before arranging the journey.
The trip costs more than tuition. Flights, visas, and travel insurance are excluded, so a low room rate is only one part of the international budget.
About three weeks away. A continuous residential stay can be a significant barrier if you have caregiving duties or limited leave from work.
Separate booking rules. Read the cancellation conditions before paying a deposit or buying flights, since the pricing table alone does not settle those questions.
How it compares
Studying at home with YogaRenew would remove the residential commitment. Its Yoga Alliance-registered school offers RYT-200 eligibility through self-paced 200-hour study, lifetime access, and no completion deadline. The October sale priced 200 hours at $347 instead of $1,637 until October 9; 300 hours were $444 instead of $1,749, and 500 hours $599 instead of $2,900.
YogaRenew appeals most to budget-minded students wanting a registered 200-hour certificate without a fixed timetable. Near-constant discounts make its much higher list prices a poor guide to what you will pay. It provides a 30-day full refund window, but cannot replicate residential life in Bali.
Mark Stephens’ 200-hour course combines a Yoga Alliance-approved RYT-200 pathway with live online or independent options. Live Online Immersion costs $3,000, or $2,500 in full, with a $500 Santa Cruz add-on; Self-Study is $1,900 upfront. The cohort begins January 15, 2027, releasing modules every six weeks, while the Evergreen option permits an anytime start.
A well-published author’s live Zoom teaching, with optional in-person attendance, may appeal if you want teacher-led study without moving abroad for the whole course. The live intake is annual, next in January 2027. Stephens refunds 100% before the start date and offers no refunds afterward.
The 300-hour advanced Stephens course is a different educational level. It lasts about a year, with the cohort starting January 15, 2027 and self-study also available. Live study costs $3,600 or $3,000 paid upfront, Santa Cruz adds $500, and independent study is $2,300 paid in full; Yoga Alliance approval supports RYT-500 eligibility when combined with a prior 200-hour certificate.
Existing RYT-200 teachers who want an experienced trainer’s sustained mentorship may find that advanced course relevant. Completed 200-hour training is required, so it cannot replace a residential foundation course for someone starting from scratch.
The wider yoga teacher training selection includes both residential and online choices. Compare the entire Bali trip with studying from home, because lodging and meal costs are built into one price but not the other.
