The TEFL Academy

The course centers on lesson preparation and entering English teaching, with grammar resources, webinars, eBooks, and optional specialist top-ups. Its official page advertises a larger bundle total alongside the core 168-hour qualification. Keep those components distinct when comparing providers: extra webinar or top-up hours do not by themselves change the title or assessed scope of the main award.

The qualification covers 168 hours, and online campus access lasts six months. Self-paced lessons give you scheduling flexibility within that deadline, while weekly webinars add engagement without establishing that you receive observed teaching practice. If your work schedule varies, ask about extensions and assignment turnaround rather than leaving unresolved assessments until the final days of access.

The 168-hour course leads to a Level 5 TEFL Diploma awarded by Qualifi, a UK government-recognized awarding body. The provider also describes recognition from government-regulated awarding bodies in the UK and USA. Read those claims by their specific scope instead of treating all forms of recognition as interchangeable.

Qualifi is identified as the awarding organization for the Level 5 qualification. The official pages separately describe DEAC Approved Quality Curriculum status and explicitly distinguish that curriculum review from accreditation. Neither the Level 5 label nor AQC should be presented as a US teaching license, a university degree, or automatic satisfaction of every school’s hiring criteria.

As of October 5, 2026, the 168-hour Level 5 course was $297, down from $743 in an October sale ending October 6, 2026. You could pay in three monthly installments of $99, with the certificate issued only after the balance was settled. The school also advertised a guaranteed pass or your money back.

The official site’s October Sale showed the $297-versus-$743 offer on October 5, 2026, with October 6, 2026 as its closing date. Confirm the promotion and its conditions on your enrollment page, especially if you return after that deadline.

Three $99 payments total $297, so the advertised installments do not increase the sale price. Certificate release waits until you pay the balance, which matters if you finish quickly and need the document for an application. Read the pass-or-money-back conditions separately; that guarantee does not establish cancellation rights for any reason.

The strongest fit is an aspiring teacher who wants a documented Level 5 award and can study independently with tutor support. Someone who requires supervised teaching experience should price the separate practice option before deciding. A learner unable to work consistently during the six-month window may need a program with more generous access rather than a lower introductory price.

Naming Qualifi gives the qualification claim more substance than an unexplained accredited label. Tutor help, webinars, eBooks, and optional top-ups add several ways to learn. Installments spread the immediate expense without raising the stated total, although you still need to coordinate final payment with certificate release.

The access deadline and separate teaching-practice purchase are the most practical drawbacks. Large discounts also make the displayed regular price a poor basis for judging savings against another provider. Compare actual payable totals and included experience, and treat job-search help as assistance rather than a promise of employment after completion.

For another Level 5 option, i-to-i TEFL Online Courses (180-Hour Level 5 TEFL) offers 180 hours with Ofqual regulation, DEAC approval, and DELTA-qualified tutors. The UK provider began in 1994 and spans 120-hour Level 3 courses through Level 6 Trinity CertPT. Its Level 5 sale price was $189 against $759, with seventeen weeks of access and typical completion in four to eight weeks.

i-to-i offers strong regulated-qualification value if you meet the near-native-English requirement and are comfortable studying entirely online. Live teaching practice is absent from the default package. The The TEFL Academy versus i-to-i TEFL comparison puts their access periods and qualifications alongside one another.

Premier TEFL 120-Hour Online TEFL Course is a lower-priced starting option for US and international learners. Its 120-hour course was advertised at $175 rather than $465, with three interest-free Klarna payments of $58.33. A site banner also offered another 12% off and four free courses when checked.

Premier includes a personal tutor and study app, with six months of access and possible completion in as little as three weeks. Native and non-native speakers ages seventeen to seventy can enroll without a degree. The site lists OTCAC and Highfield Qualifications among its recognitions, with Highfield specifically associated with the Level 5 diploma; the inexpensive basic course does not include live teaching practice.

Institutional recognition is the distinguishing feature of Bridge 120-Hour Global TEFL Certificate. Its language-education business offers more than forty TEFL and TESOL courses, led by the career-qualifying Global certificate. Bridge is institutionally accredited by ACCET, which is recognized by the U.S. Department of Education, and uses Credly-verified digital credentials.

Bridge’s catalog includes online, in-person, and blended formats plus micro-credentials for subjects such as exam preparation and online teaching. The 120-hour price was unavailable in the official page text, although October specials priced featured forty-hour certificates at $99. Teachers who prioritize institutional accreditation may find Bridge compelling, but still need a quote for the main certificate.

i-to-i offers another Level 5 route with a shorter access window, Premier TEFL offers a cheaper core 120-hour product with a different recognition scope, and Bridge emphasizes institutional accreditation. Those are more meaningful distinctions than adding every optional hour in a bundle. The right option depends on the award and practice requirements of the role you intend to pursue. See the TEFL Certification category.

Open the online Level 5 page and inspect the core course and optional bundle components. Choose Enroll me only after reviewing campus access, assignment support, and the written guarantee. If observed teaching is important, investigate its separate course before paying, and coordinate the installment schedule with the date when you need the certificate released.

Check the Level 5 course and optional components on the official program page. The review methodology assesses curriculum, credibility, value, flexibility, and support; the defined awarding body and separate practice option are central to this judgment.
