- Courses can be split into 28-hour sections at different locations
- Instalment plans up to 8 months
- In-person only, with travel, accommodation and meals extra
- Priced in euros
- Optional ongoing CPD packs add monthly costs (from €30/month)
What you’ll learn
ARYM teaches the Kusum Modak approach to Ayurvedic Yoga Massage. The official description combines oil massage, assisted yoga stretches, breath-guided touch, and calamus powder; this is practical bodywork rather than a general survey of Ayurveda. The entry sequence covers Levels 1–4, while returning participants can pursue advanced work.
A short introductory section and the full therapist course are different purchases. Beginners can take a 28-hour section and continue elsewhere later, but should obtain a written explanation of what remains before the diploma is awarded. The wider seven-level progression and masterclasses should not be confused with the hours included in one retreat.
Format, schedule and time commitment
Plan for about 10 days to complete the 56-hour therapist certification covering Levels 1-4. Beyond that entry course, ARYM’s seven levels and 14 masterclasses add up to more than 500 hours. The Bali page gives July 16–25, 2027 as the course dates, although its URL contains an older year. Before arranging flights, confirm those dates and wait for the provider’s event confirmation; an automatic booking email does not mean the course will run.
An intensive retreat requires consecutive days away from work and participation in physical practice. Splitting the training reduces the length of one trip while introducing another scheduling decision. Ask whether the second section will be available at a convenient location before buying only the first.
Accreditation and what the credential is worth
ARYM describes its certifications as accredited by the International Institute for Complementary Therapists (IICT), with recognition in 38-40+ countries for insurance purposes. For a bodyworker adding a modality, that connection to professional insurance may matter. It does not establish that the diploma meets any particular US state’s massage licensing requirements. Ask your licensing authority and insurer how each would evaluate this specific training.
The therapist diploma is the school’s award. It should not be read as a medical qualification or evidence that every country accepts the same scope of work. Insurance recognition and permission to practice need separate verification for the place where you intend to work.
Price, payment plans and refunds
The Ubud, Bali therapist course costs €1,380 at the standard rate or €1,180 with the early-bird offer for 10 days and 56 hours covering Levels 1-4. Individual 28-hour sections start at €820; accommodation and meals cost extra, and you can reserve with a €300 deposit and pay over as many as eight months. On October 5, 2026, the Bali page advertised the early-bird price for the first six bookings and stated an April 1 deadline, so check whether a discounted place remains available. It also described a deposit refund if too few people register for the course to run.
Accommodation and meals remain separate even at the advertised sanctuary. Request the cancellation conditions for your own withdrawal; organizer cancellation does not establish equivalent protection when you cancel. No dollar conversion is assumed for the euro-denominated tuition.
Early Bird rate on the official Bali 2027 course page: €1,180 instead of €1,380, limited to the first 6 bookings

Who it’s best for — and who should skip it
If you want to learn assisted-stretching bodywork through immersive, supervised practice, Ananta offers a focused reason to travel. An experienced massage therapist can assess it as an additional technique. A beginner has more to consider: the physical demands of the training, the diploma requirements, and the professional steps needed afterward.
Skip this option if your essential requirement is online study around evening commitments. Someone primarily interested in Ayurvedic lifestyle counseling should compare Kerala’s coaching curriculum instead. Sharing an Ayurvedic influence does not make those training goals interchangeable.
Pros and cons in detail
- Founder-led teaching: Ananta Sylvain Girard has taught this method since 1996.
- Insurance recognition: IICT accreditation supports coverage in many countries, subject to the insurer’s terms.
- Room to progress: Beginners can enter a clear seven-level sequence that extends to instructor training.
- Split attendance: You can take 28-hour sections at different locations.
- Spread-out payments: Installment plans run for up to eight months.
- Travel budget: In-person attendance means paying for travel, accommodation, and meals on top of tuition.
- Euro pricing: US buyers need to budget for a tuition bill denominated in euros.
- Optional continuing study: Ongoing CPD packages introduce another expense, starting at €30/month.
The founder-led approach gives prospective participants a defined method and instructor to investigate. Beginner admission and a staged progression make entry accessible without implying that the first course provides every advanced skill. Section splitting and installments address different constraints: one changes the calendar, while the other changes payment timing.
The weaker flexibility assessment follows directly from travel and fixed event dates. Tuition also understates the total commitment for someone flying from the United States, and optional ongoing CPD creates another purchasing decision. Ask what support is already included after graduation before adding a monthly package, and ask an insurer about the precise modality rather than relying on international recognition language alone.
How it compares
Kerala Ayurveda Academy Holistic Ayurvedic Coach (HAC) Program teaches coaching and lifestyle education with remote attendance available. Its six-month, 300-hour cohort starts October 12, 2026, and HAC transfers into the first six AHC modules as part of the academy’s stated pathway to NAMACB accreditation. Published prices were inconsistent on October 5, 2026: the catalog gave $3,850, while the HAC page showed $3,750 upfront, two payments from $1,925, or six from $667. Clarify that discrepancy before purchase, then weigh coaching against Ananta’s hands-on skill and travel commitment.
Continued Massage Therapy CE Unlimited Membership costs $149 per year for unlimited on-demand CE. It identifies itself as an NCBTMB Approved CE Provider, referring to the National Certification Board for Therapeutic Massage & Bodywork. This annual membership serves existing therapists completing renewal education. That is a different task from learning ARYM through supervised physical practice.
The Reiki Certification category includes Ananta alongside other approaches to bodywork and wellness. For the reasoning behind our assessment of its curriculum, credibility, value, flexibility, and support, see the review methodology.
